I'm always keen to discover new independents in Farnham, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to see this family-owned and run store open up in town on the main drag! The shop window in the first week of opening was quite possibly the most well-dressed, inviting thing I have seen in town in a long time. And Siri, the most welcoming (and well-connected!) owner, continues to make Ruby Jones the most aesthetically appealing offering for treasure-hunters and proud homemakers alike.
And I say well-connected, because Siri and her husband are just that; they are able to source the most beautiful contemporary and vintage pieces from both the UK and abroad, regularly making trips across the channel to pick up treasures. They work with independent creatives and business owners to stock Ruby Jones with top quality products. It is equally lovely to see local businesses being championed; Ruby Jones stocks chairs, footstools and cushions by the incredibly talented Farnham-based upholsterer (and all round lovely person) Megan Forbes.
Ruby Jones has now re-opened post Covid-19 lockdown and I'm so looking forward to seeing what's on the shelves this week! The stock is constantly changing, with both new and vintage items to tickle your pickle.
